...but I have a Question

I want to make a rain barrel and between heat, sunlight and roofing materials I am not sure what would be safe.

Editor's note: If the water is for your garden, the barrel is just one of the problems. Goodness knows what the water picks up from the roofing materials and the gutters. That said, there are so many pollutants in the air and already in soil, over which we have no control.

For myself, I would choose a wooden water barrel anyway, just for esthetic reasons.
